Attend a free panel discussion on African cinema at the Menil Collection

with speakers Kristina Van Dyke, Mahen Bonetti, Andrew Dosunmu

Hear Kristina Van Dyke, curator of The Progress of Love, and Mahen Bonetti, curator of the eight-part series of African films that accompanies it, discuss the making of this exhibition that explores the idea and the experience of love in Africa. They will be joined by Nigerian-born filmmaker  Andrew Dosunmu, whose 2010 fiction feature Restless City, opens the film series Shades of Love the following night. Former Menil curator Kristina Van Dyke is now Director of The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, St, Louis; Mahen Bonetti is Founder and Director of New York African Film Festival.
